According to his own words, this exhibition can be considered a preview of \u201cthe film program of the V INSTAR Film Festival, which will take place from October 28 to November 3\u201d in several cities around the world, including Madrid and Barcelona.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe short films that make up this session, all premiered during the last year,\u201d Aparicio continues, \u201dare just four splinters of a national landscape that is becoming more complex and fragmented every day.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the show's curator, \u201cthese works explore essential issues of the contemporary Cuban experience\u201d such as \u201cthe acute social and political crisis the country is going through; the ideological fetishism regarding the Cuban Revolution\u201d or \u201cthe crisis of values within the family.\u201d Likewise, these pieces explore the causes and consequences of \u201cemigration and the unsuspected encounters it brings about.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The screening of these materials will take place on September 18, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sala Iberia of Casa de Am\u00e9rica, in Madrid.
